Giving appreciated stocks or bonds is a superb way to show support for the school. With certain limitations, you can deduct the full fair market value of long-term appreciated securities - that is, securities you have owned a certain amount of time and that have increased in value. Thus you can give away appreciated property and usually avoid the tax on the gain.
It is very important that the donor or the donor’s broker call the Development Office to notify the school that you are making a gift of securities.
Please contact the Sarah Wakelin, Director of Annual Giving, with questions regarding wire transfer arrangements.
Many corporations offer matching gift programs to their employees and their families. Matching gift support often doubles an individual’s gift. Simply obtain a matching gift form, normally from your company’s human resource department, complete the necessary information and return it to the school with your gift.

Each year, WMA invites all graduates to return to campus for Reunion Weekend. During the weekend, classes celebrate anniversary years on a five-year cycle. However, all alumni are encouraged to attend and enjoy the festivities.
Class Agents work with the Alumni Office to help locate their classmates, build enthusiasm and increase Alumni awareness.
Please let us know if you are interested in joining us as a Class Agent!
