Wilbraham & Monson Academy has a long and rich tradition in America’s pastime. As one of the first independent schools to field a baseball team in the 1870s, WMA baseball is rooted in a strong sense of pride and a commitment to excel. Over the years, our teams have won their share of honors, including a league co-championship in 2006. Our approach to developing fine ballplayers and young men focuses on hard work, attention to detail, and respect for self and others. Our mantra is: “Work Hard, Play Hard and Enjoy the Game.”
WMA competes in the Western New England Prep Baseball League, which is comprised of 10 teams spanning Western Massachusetts and Connecticut, with one New York team. With an emphasis on teamwork and selfless play, we are committed to helping each and every ballplayer reach his potential as a high school player and, if appropriate, as a college prospect. For those interested in playing in college we can offer a strong network of college recruiting, with and a solid track record in this area. Recent WMA graduates have gone on to play at competitive college programs including: the University of Hartford, Rollins College, the University of Tampa, Franklin Pierce College, Endicott College, and St. Andrews Presbyterian (NC).
