Topic: What's Good for Water is Good for Business

Time: 8:30 a.m.

Location: WMA Gymnasium

Keynote Speaker: Fabien Cousteau, Ocean Explorer and Founder of Plant A Fish

Bio: Growing up on the decks of his famous grandfather’s ships, Calypso and Alcyone, Fabien Cousteau was destined to work to protect our planet’s immense and endangered marine habitat.

From his vast experience in the field, coupled with a degree in environmental economics from Boston University, he has refined a public policy platform grounded by his strong belief that environmental discipline can be the basis for innovative solutions that strike a balance between regional and global environmental problems and the realities of market economies.

Professional Development Credit:  As a professional development opportunity for educators, ten PDPs are available for Massachusetts public school educators for their participation in the World of Water conference. Attendance to the April 5 event is required along with the submission of a short written reflection that addresses the outcomes of either the creation and/or introduction of new water-related curriculum into the classroom. These components will satisfy the requirements for professional development credit. For further information, please contact Wally Swanson.
