POSTSEASON APPEARANCES
The Girls’ Varsity Cross Country team traveled to Cheshire to compete with 13 other teams in the NEPSTA Division IV Cross-Country Championship meet., where they placed 11th. Sarah Lyon finished 14th of 93 girls in 22:10, earning a medal and a place on the New England Division IV Girls’ Cross Country team.
The Varsity Football team has been selected to play in a NEPSAC postseason bowl game next Saturday, November 17. The Titans (7-1) take on The Hopkins School (8-0) in a game tentatively scheduled to be on the campus of Kingswood Oxford School at 1:00 p.m.
Presentation of Class M Plaque
The WWNEPSSA Class M Champion Girls’ Varsity Soccer team, seeded 3rd, will host Middlesex School at Corbin Fields on Wednesday, November 14, at 2:00 p.m. The location for the semifinal on Saturday is determined by the teams playing. Finals on Sunday are at 1:00 p.m. at Governor’s Academy. The team overall record is 13-2-0.
Presentation of Ray Brown Cup
The Boys’ Varsity Soccer team, seeded 3rd, will host Rivers on Wednesday, November 14, at 2:00 p.m. in the New England Soccer quarterfinal game at Corbin Fields. The team has captured the Ray Brown Cup, awarded to the best Class M school in the Western New England Prep School Soccer Association, for an unprecedented 5th consecutive year. The location for the semifinal on Saturday is determined by the teams playing. Finals on Sunday are at Middlesex at a time to be determined.
The Varsity Volleyball team, seeded 7th, will travel to Kingswood Oxford on Wednesday, November 14, for the Western New England Prep School Volleyball Association Class B tournament quarterfinal game, to be held at 3:00.

In their respective postseason tournaments both the Boys' and Girls' Varsity Soccer teams were the top seeds. They defeated Middlesex (1-0) and Rye Country Day (4-0) in the quarterfinal matches before falling to Rivers in the finals 2-1.
Four Titans from the Girls' Varsity team were named All League: Stacy DaCruz of Ludlow, and Anna Hart of Paxton; with goalie Lauren Brodeur of Wilbraham and Brigida Palatino of Ludlow receiving Honorable Mention. DaCruz was also named to the Massachusetts Prep/Public All-State team.
The Boys' Varsity Soccer team finished the regular season with a record of 11-2-0 and opened post-season play by defeating Middlesex 1-0 in the quarterfinal game of the New England Class B tournament. They were defeated in the semi-final game by Hopkins Academy 3-0. The team earned the Ray Brown Cup as the top regular season Class M (middle-sized) school for the third consecutive year, a feat never before accomplished in league history, and were named league champions. Playing in the post-season All-Star game were Mateo Escobar of Liverpool, New York, Gregory Balicki of Wilbraham, and Thomas Watson of Devonshire, Bremuda. Watson and Balicki have also been awarded All-State honors, and Balicki was named to the All-New England squad.

Student Athlete Awards from the National Consortium for Academics and Sports, Northeastern University's Sport in Society, the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Federation of State High School Associations. The awards are presented annually to students who demonstrate “commitment to excellence in academics, athletics and community service.” These students have maintained a cumulative academic average of between 3.0 and 4.0.

In 1999 the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Athletic Council inaugurated an award to recognize those members of the graduating class who were members of three competitive athletic teams during their final year at the Academy. Winter 2004 - 2005
One of the highlights of the season was the Girls' Varsity Swim team placing first in the Class C Western New England Prep School Swim Association championships for the third consecutive year. During the season, school records fell in both the 400-meter freestyle relay and individual the 50-meter freestyle event. Molly Goldrick of Hampden continued to whittle away at her time throughout the season, finishing up with a new school record of 26:22 seconds. Molly also swam on the record-breaking relay team, which finished the season with a time of 4 minutes, 4.93 seconds. Her relay teammates were Justine Douvadjian of Andover, Kristin Coderre of Monson, and Michaela Rollings of Longmeadow.
Another was the girls on the Varsity Ski team taking first place in the Mount Sunapee meet with a combined score of 75. Those skiers were Olivia Clement of Granby, Stephanie Robbins of Wilbraham, and Chelby Wakefield of East Longmeadow.
Academy wrestler Alexander Debelov of Rostov-on-Don, Russia earned a 10th place finish in national competition.
Fall 2004
The Girls' Varsity Soccer team posted a season record of 14-0 and, with the league reorganization, became the inaugural WWNEPSA Medium School Champions. The Small School Cup was retired and will remain at Wilbraham & Monson Academy since the Titans were the last school to win it. Five Titans were named All League. Jessica Bramucci of Ludlow, who set a new school total points record with 56 goals and 64 assists, Stacy DaCruz of Ludlow, and Anna Hart of Paxton. Olivia Clement of Granby and Emily Vincunas of Granville received Honorable Mention. Bramucci was also named to the Massachusetts Prep/Public All-State team and has been nominated for the All-New England team.
The Boys' Varsity Soccer team finished the regular season with a record of 12-1-1 and opened post-season play by defeating Noble & Greenough 2-1 in the quarterfinal game of the New England Class B tournament. The team earned the Ray Brown Cup as the top regular season Class M (middle-sized) school for the second consecutive year and the third time in seven years. Playing in the post-season All-Star game were Tyrell Burgess of Smiths, Bermuda, Benjamin Premo of Florence, and Gregory Balicki of Northampton. Premo has also been awarded All-State and All-New England honors.
Two other highly successful Titan teams this fall were the Varsity Volleyball team, who were 13-1 in the regular season and had nine straight victories to open the season, and the Girls' Cross Country team, who took an 8th place finish at the New Englands. In addition, the Varsity Water Polo team celebrated its 20th year, most of those years under the coaching of Wilbraham native Steve Gray, an alumnus of the Academy himself.
