This
trimester students have been developing their use of color and refining
their analytical observational drawings through painting. Working with
strong compositions, students made and prepared canvases for these
sustained projects, and they will be including these works as part of
the Advanced Placement exam portfolio and school exhibit.
The
upcoming show will include the work of Jung Min Bona Lee, Sara Lyon,
Alessandra Mele, Badee New Thienthong, and RuiZhi Orange Weng.
Additionally, Chia-Hao Scott Lee will include the work he prepared in
an independent study in 3-D design for college and the AP exam. All the
artists are members of the Class of 2009.
The AP Art show will
include some of our students’ most advanced drawing, painting,
photography, sculpture, and installation work this year. We hope to see
you for some light refreshments at the artists’ reception on April 3
from 6:15-7:15 p.m. at the Binney Art Gallery.
