The Academy Players' fall production is The Visit, by Friedrich Durrenmatt. This post-war European play explores the dangers of greed and mob mentality in a darkly humorous and highly entertaining way. When millionairess Claire Zachanassian returns to her hometown of Guellen, the downtrodden towsnfolk hope she intends to raise them out of poverty and despair. She does; however, her philanthropy comes at a steep price. This production will take place in Founders Theater on November 13 and 14 at 6:45 p.m., with a preview on November 13 at 3:30 p.m.
