Mass Music Educator's Association Western District events

Saturday, December 5 – Junior Festival auditions
Westfield State College
Jackson French Robitaille on trumpet is auditioning for the Festival Band
Leigh Johnston on violin is auditioning for the Festival Orchestra.
WMA music teacher, Lucy Shrenker, is Assistant Men's Chorus Manager for the festival.

Saturday, January 9 – Senior District Festival
3:00 p.m. at the UMASS Fine Arts Center.
Festival Orchestra: Chien-Hsiang Henry Liao on violin and SeaYoon Park on oboe
Festival Band: Brooke Mele on flute
Festival Chorus: Young-Jun Jonathan Lee will be singing bass
WMA music teacher, Lucy Shrenker, is Assistant Orchestra Manager for the festival.

Tuesday, January 5 – All-State Orchestra auditions
SeaYoon Park on oboe

Saturday, December 5 – Dazzle in December at the Picknellys’
WMA student musicians perform at Parents’ Association fundraiser
Chien-Hsiang Henry Liao and Naruhiko Sugiura to perform violin duets
Brooke Mele and SeaYoon Park to perform woodwind duets
Xueci Michelle Ding to perform classical music on the grand piano
Mosaic Harmony to add vocal pieces

Sunday, December 13 - Holiday Concert
3:00 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Chapel.
Academy singers and Mosaic Harmony will sing, students from the Fine & Performing Arts Department will present a dance from India, and the Instrumental Music Ensemble will play.
Enjoy an assortment of music from around the world and some holiday favorites.
Reception to follow at the Athletic Center

Tuesday, December 15 at - The BMS Winter Showcase
7:00 p.m. in Alumni Memorial Chapel
Grade Six, Seven, Eight and Nine String Ensembles perform
Jazz numbers by the BMS Band
Vocal and instrumental soloists
The premiere performance of our Grade Seven Rock Band!

Friday, December 18 Senator Brewer's annual Holiday Story Hour
3:30 at the Monson Free Library
Members of the BMS Grade Eight String Ensemble perform string quintet music:

Michael Fabrizi, Brent Kane, Megan Pehoviak, Maria Slater, and Gillian Smith will be performing as the Wilbraham & Monson Bow and Arco Club.
