Jeannette Viens selected for Husky High Performance 18 volleyball team
Posted 12/12/2009 11:25AM

Jeannette Viens ’11, two-time co-captain of the Wilbraham & Monson Varsity Volleyball team and two-time New England Prep School Girls Volleyball Association All Star, was recently named to the Husky Mizuno 18 team. The 18 team is usually comprised of high school seniors, and it is quite an honor to make the team as a junior.

Husky Volleyball is a developmental program for girls’ volleyball located in central Connecticut. Players try out for two levels of play, regional and high performance. Players selected for high performance teams are the highest calibre players who intend to play at the college level. The Husky Mizuno 18 team is coached by All-American volleyball player Leah Hettrick, who is currently the Suffield Academy volleyball coach. The team will compete at the WinterFest Tournament in Hartford, Connecticut, on January 16-18. They will also travel to Baltimore, Maryland, in April to play in the Northeast Qualifier Tournament.
