Winter athletes honored at varsity banquet

On Tuesday, March 2 Wilbraham & Monson Academy honored those varsity athletes who participated in the successful winter season at the Winter Athletic Banquet and Awards Ceremony. Athletic Director Skip Jarocki emceed the gathering.

Coaches Awards were presented to the following: Chloe Snyder ’11 of Northampton for Girls’ Basketball; Patrick Schmidt ’12 of Wilbraham for Riflery; Adam Ginsberg ’10 of Arlington, Virginia, of for the Ski Team; Kelsey Tomlinson ’10 of Brooklyn, New York, and Kevin Lambert ’13 of Granby for the Swim Team; Joseph Thibault ’13 of Southwick for Wrestling; Qiulin Cindy Li of Yunan, China, and Branden Piquette of Belchertown for Winter Track.


Most Valuable Athlete presentations were made to the following: Carly Cronin ’13 of Feeding Hills for Girls’ Basketball; Yeon-Joo Donna Lee ’11 of Gyeonggi-do, Korea, for Riflery; Stephanie Robbins ’10 of Wilbraham for the Ski Team, Mia Konstatakos ’13 of Hampden and Nathan Lee ’10 of Monson, both repeat winners for the Swim Team; Derrick Barnagian ’11 of Hampden for Wrestling; and Bethany Lyon ’11 of Monson and Naruhiko Sugiura ’11 of Vienna, Austria, for Winter Track.
Awards for Boys’ Varsity Basketball will be announced following the New England Western Conference postseason tournament.
