Korea Economic Institute President Charles L. Pritchard and Kim Yong Jun, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, addressed aspects of US-Korean relations as well as political, economic and security issues on the Korean peninsula. Mr. Pritchard and Mr. Kim met both with faculty and students to discuss emerging issues between North and South Korea, the recent meeting of the two leaders of these countries, as well as the growing economic ties between Korea and the US brought about by the recent Free Trade Agreement, an agreement developed under the guidance of former Minister of Trade and current Ambassador to the United Nations, Alumnus Hyun Chong Kim, Class of 1977. In the morning, Pritchard and Kim met with members of the faculty, answering questions. They then joined a group of Bicentennial Scholars and Korean students for lunch at Morrow House.
