Wilbraham & Monson Academy Girls' Varsity Lacrosse and Field Hockey head coach Francesca DenHartog has been selected for induction into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame with the 2010 Class of Inductees. Managing Director, Sport Development for US Lacrosse says, "Induction into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame is the highest honor the sport of lacrosse can bestow." The induction ceremony will be held at the Grand Lodge in Hunt Valley, Maryland, on Saturday, October 30, 2010.

Ms. DenHartog played on the Harvard varsity lacrosse team for four years and was co-captain her senior year. She was named to the All-Ivy Lacrosse Team each year, was Ivy Player of the Year in 1981 and 1982, and was named a Lacrosse All American in 1982 & 1983. Ms. DenHartog was inducted into the Harvard Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 1998. Before coming to the Academy, she coached women's lacrosse at Yale University and the University of Massachusetts. She is also the founder and owner of Northern Exposure Lacrosse, based in Hatfield.
