Students return from Vietnam trip

Students from Wilbraham & Monson Academy, joined by students from Westfield State University, return from a trip to Vietnam on Monday, June 25.

WMA students received college credit for the trip and met with Vietnam War veterans prior to leaving on the two-week excursion. In their meetings with students, war veterans explained how they would explore the extensive tunnel system during the war seeking out Viet Cong. Students were able to see some of the same tunnels during the trip, many of which have been preserved.

Professor Tom Gardner accompanied the Westfield State University students and the WMA student contingent was accompanied by faculty member Michael Dziura.
