Kate Gaw

Director of Admission & Financial Aid

Kate Gaw is a lifelong resident of Western Massachusetts, Ms. Gaw worked in the banking industry for 13 years prior to joining the Academy. She has worked for the Business Office, served as the Bursar and has had an increasing role in the leadership of the Admission Office in the last 14 years. Her talent for data analysis and strategic thinking, along with her knowledge of our programs and challenges, make her a valuable member of the Academy’s Administrative team.

Additionally, Ms. Gaw served as coach of the WMA Ski team for four years. Her son, Matt, is a graduate of the Academy.

Carlee D'Amato

Associate Director of Admission & Financial Aid

Born and raised in the Wilbraham area, Carlee D'Amato attended Minnechaug Regional High School, graduating in 2002. While in high school, she had the opportunity to study abroad at the SABIS International School in Bath, England which kindled her passion for international travel and the broad variables of education. Upon graduation, she enrolled at Bridgewater State College where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Sociology and again studied abroad at Manchester Metropolitan University in Crewe, England. Since 2007 she has worked in Admission and Financial Aid departments for various area colleges before bringing her wealth of experience to WMA. Ms. D'Amato's cheerful personality, and her innate ability to understand the needs of today's prospective students serve her well in her role as Associate Director of Admission & Finanical Aid.

Ms. D'Amato is currently working on her Masters in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Enrollment Management.


Durelle Brown

Assistant Director of Admission

Durelle Brown joined the WMA Admission Office in the spring of 2014. Mr. Brown is a graduate of the Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford, Conn. and of Manhattan College. He received a B.A. in Communications with minors in Business Management and Religious Studies from Manhattan College. Mr. Brown played Varsity Basketball at Manhattan for four years and was a team captain for his junior and senior seasons. He also played professional basketball for 10 years in Brazil, among other European and South American Countries. Mr. Brown was the Boys Varsity Basketball coach at Kingswood Oxford and has many years of coaching experience at basketball camps. Mr. Brown is the WMA Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach and resides in the Rich Hall annex.

Jeanine Little

Assistant Director of Admission

Jeanine Little began her association with Wilbraham & Monson Academy in 2005 as a parent when her two oldest children entered the Middle School, and was Vice President of the Parent Association for two years. She has been the Middle School Admission Counselor since 2010. Her son Austin graduated from the Academy in 2012 and is currently attending the University of Chicago. Her daughter Heather graduated in 2013, and is currently a student at New York University after spending a gap year abroad in Germany through a scholarship from the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange. Her son David '16 has been an active member of the Academy since Grade 6 and is currently enjoying the Upper School.

Ms. Little earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration at the University of Connecticut and subsequently worked at MassMutual in commercial real estate finance. While a student, she was actively involved with admissions as a tour guide and as a summer orientation leader for incoming students. She was selected as a resident assistant her junior and senior year, and served one graduate semester as head resident. Jeanine enjoys assisting and supporting students and their families in the research and application process for Wilbraham & Monson Academy, and considers it a privilege to watch these students flourish as learners and individuals while they are at the Academy.

During her free time Ms. Little enjoys spending time with her husband and family and friends.

Julie Chan

Student Accounts Associate

Julie Chan joined the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Admission Office in June 2014. Ms. Chan attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she graduated with a B.A. in Legal Studies. After college, she lived in Boston working as a Real Estate Project Assistant at DLA Piper (US) LLP. She now enjoys living in East Longmeadow with her husband, chickens and bunny.

During her free time, Ms. Chan enjoys CrossFit, the outdoors and sewing.

Elyse Dunbar

Administrative Assistant

Elyse Dunbar graduated from Fairfield University with a degree in Marketing.  She worked in Boston, Mass. as an Advertising Supervisor for several years prior to moving to Wilbraham, Mass.  While in advertising, Elyse worked on a variety of industries including, education, automotive and financial.  

Upon her arrival at Wilbraham, Elyse reconnected with her childhood passion for horses by becoming a horseback-riding instructor. She began riding when she was nine years old and competed nationally on Fairfield University’s Equestrian Team.  Elyse combined her love for horses and expertise in marketing and for several years was a consultant at W. F. Young, Inc. in East Longmeadow, Mass. 

As Elyse has always valued her high school (Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich, Conn.) and collegiate experiences, she was eager to leverage her professional experience within the field of education. She worked at Academy Hill School in Springfield, Mass. as the Office Manager and Marketing and Communications Manager, prior to becoming part of the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Admission Team. Elyse is excited to build relationships with WMA students and families.  

Elyse lives in Wilbraham, Mass. with her husband, daughter, son and two dogs.
