Head of School Message

Welcome to our website.

We are quite proud of this unique site. As you interact with the many videos and stories about our students and alumni, I think you will be captivated by the sheer volume of interesting activity available to you at the Academy.

You might notice that we have trademarked our tag line, The Global School®. We're probably the only prep school in America to do this. It is one indication that we are a school that welcomes outside-the-box thinking and provides students with unique programs of study. As you investigate our website you will learn more about our one-of-a-kind high school stock trading floor in the Shenkman Trading Center. You will see that we have a unique interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial course of study, the Global EcoLearn® program. You will discover that we have an extensive AP program and a broad travel program including a singular environmental program in the heart of the Amazon jungle in Brazil. These are all in addition to the usual fare you would find at any top-notch boarding school.

We are always looking for applicants who want to be part of something bigger than themselves, and our program gives you that opportunity. We may be a small school but we act much bigger than our 345-student high school and 65-student middle school would imply. I hope you are curious about what else we can offer you and how we can help you reach your dreams of acceptance at colleges and universities of the highest quality.

When you come to interview, please stop by my office to say hello.
