Applicants from China

Due to the high demand of international applicants from China, we require an interview with Vericant (see link below) as the first step of the admission process. Please be sure to submit your application with us as soon as possible and set up your interview with Vericant. Be advised that Vericant does not evaluate our candidates. They only administer the first interview, which is then submitted to Wilbraham & Monson Academy. We will then determine which candidates will be offered an interview with our Admission Office. In order to meet WMA’s admission deadline of Feb. 1, candidates must schedule a Vericant interview on or before Dec. 31 (Early action decisions, please schedule your Vericant interview on or before Nov. 30).

The application - SAO (SSAT) - must be completed by the student and submitted to the Admission Office with a non-refundable application fee of $75 (domestic students) and $150 (international students). 

The SSAT is optional, but recommended for applicants to our Upper School. If needed, use our school code 8206 to ensure we receive your scores. We do not require the SSAT for Middle School day applicants.

We will continue to require the Test of English as a Foreign Language or IELTS for international students, unless the student has been studying in an English speaking school for three or more years. If needed, our TOEFL school code is 8009.

Please make sure to include grades from the current year along with a two-year history.

These must be from your current school. We require recommendations from a current English teacher and Math teacher as well as a third recommendation from a counselor, principal or a personal reference.

The application process is the same for International and Domestic Students with this exception:

• If English is not a student's primary language, he/she must submit the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam results. Learn more about the test on the TOEFL website. Use WMA's school code 8009. We will also consider the IELTS or the Duolingo tests.

Please note that while we embrace a global community and the diversity the many different cultures bring to our school, we offer only advanced ESL classes. We expect all international students to have a high level of English proficiency when they arrive to campus.

Families who are interested in our Learning Center should submit their child’s complete neuropsychological and/or psychoeducational testing and evaluation performed within the last three years.

For all applicants: Please include any supplemental testing or evaluations your student may have with your admission application.
