Book Review: Sara Young '07

Check out the recommendation by Sara Young '07 of "Clap When You Land."

"'Clap When You Land' by Elizabeth Acevedo was nothing like I expected but took my breath away throughout the reading experience. The plot is captivating, with powerful themes woven throughout the book. I was particularly drawn to the internal conflict of one main character about what it means to be Latinx when you were born in America, and possibly never stepped foot in your 'home country.' The book is also beautifully structured in verse, setting it apart from other Latinx-authored fiction I've read."
