Piano

Eun Joo Lee, a talented pianist from South Korea, began playing at age seven, performing at City Hall and later at prestigious venues during her time at a specialized Art High School in Busan.

Mrs. Lee studied at Pusan National University, receiving a scholarship and performing annually under Jung Soon Choi. Her standout performance of Bartok’s Rhapsody Op.1 at Kyumjung's Cultural Concert Hall made headlines.

In 2002, inspired by the Piano Summer at New Paltz, N.Y., Eun Joo pursued her master’s degree in Music at SUNY Purchase with Paul Ostrovsky. She expanded her repertoire with contemporary works and participated in numerous recitals and chamber groups. Eun Joo continued her studies at the Hartt School, University of Hartford, completing her Graduate Diploma Recitals in 2012 and 2013. Her interest in sacred music led her to study organ with Anthony Newman and Patricia Snyder.

Currently, she is a collaborative pianist for the Connecticut College Choirs and has recorded Brian Field’s "Three Planets" to raise climate change awareness.  Mrs. Lee is a member of the Hartford Music Teacher Alliance and the National Music Teachers Association.
