Quotes from Coach Mike MacDonald

On the WMA Boys Lacrosse program: “Right now, the WMA Lacrosse program is sitting at the top of the hill. We are producing quality student-athletes, giving them a healthy, fun and competitive lacrosse experience. The dedication and work ethic of our players and families have helped propel WMA as the top program in the WNESSLA D2 League.”

On Luke: “Luke was a key contributor to the team's last two championships. He has been on the varsity team, and started since eighth grade. He's been the staple of our defense. However, it was his leadership abilities that set him apart from others. He leads by example and works harder than any other player I have coached. I am not surprised to see him get this award, and I am proud to see his hard work pay off.”

On J.J.: “J.J. was the offensive go-to guy this year. We gave him that responsibility and he took that role seriously.  His hard work and dedication in the offseason helped prepare him for this year's task at hand. J.J. has had our opponents’ top defender on him every game and he still produced at least four points in every game this year. J.J., like Luke, has been on the varsity program since eighth grade. To see how far he has come as a student-athlete at WMA has been magical, and I applaud his strong work ethic and love for the game.”

Quotes from the players

Luke on the WMA program: “I’ve had a great five years here with Coach Mac and all my teammates to help prepare me for my future (at the University of Massachusetts).”

J.J. on the WMA program: “I had a great experience at WMA for the last five years playing on the varsity team. The program prepared me for the next level (Sacred Heart University).”
