Program Overview

The Wilbraham & Monson Academy football program has a long and proud tradition. There is a place for both beginning and experienced players in our program.

WMA has competed in the New England 8 Player Football League since 2024, facing prep schools throughout New England and New York. Eight player football has proven to be a more wide open, exciting and high-scoring game, with the same physicality, grit and teamwork that football is known for.

In 2025, the Titans reached the league championship game to cap a very successful season. The offense averaged 44.4 points/game, while maintaining balance between an aggressive passing attack and strong run game. Defensively, we are a heavy blitz team, aimed at stopping the run, pressuring the QB and creating turnovers. We take pride in making the kicking game a priority as well, looking to create big plays and win the field position battle each week. Year-in and year-out, our players establish terrific team chemistry and work hard towards a common goal. Part of our schedule includes lifting twice per week with our strength coach, and being in better shape than our opponents by conditioning at the end of practices.

We are proud to have players from all over the country and the world on our team. Most are multisport athletes, playing two to three varsity sports at WMA. Our program will continue to allow students the opportunity to participate in a sport uniquely suited to developing certain important traits in young people, among them discipline, teamwork, perseverance and courage.
