3 Titans named to all-league for Girls' Lacrosse

Two longtime Wilbraham & Monson Academy Girls’ Lacrosse players received a nice pat on the back as they completed their careers, while a first-year player continued to show why her lacrosse future is so bright.

Payton Klepacki ’22 earned All-New England Prep School Athletic Council honors following the 2021 season, while Grace Dineen ’21 and Charlotte Derose ’21 were named to the honorable mention list.

Payton, a highly-recruited midfielder, completed her inaugural season for the Titans, while Grace and Charlotte capped careers that date back to the Middle School.

Payton on being selected to the All-NEPSAC team: “I feel that I played well this season, but anytime I look back on a season or watch film on myself after a game I always find room for where I can improve and elevate my overall game. I was very honored to receive the All- NEPSAC award for Girls’ Lacrosse. I couldn’t have done this without our amazing coaches - Coach (Christa) Robinson and Coach (Tim) Dineen - and my teammates. We worked hard and we are looking to build from this past season.”

Coach Robinson regarding Payton: “Payton was new to the team this year, and her dedication and strong work ethic were impressive. Her passion for the game of lacrosse and team-first attitude made her an excellent team captain selection this year. She is a talented middie who had a huge impact both on the offensive and defensive sides for our team, leading the team with her motivation and willpower to be the best that she can be both in the community and on the field. Payton was also named the team's Most Valuable Player as well this year.”

Coach Robinson regarding Grace: “Grace was a huge part of our team since her middle school days. A natural leader and selfless player, she led her teammates with a kind heart, warm smile and positive attitude. Grace led our defense for the past five years. A team captain selection both her junior and senior years, Grace was committed to making each teammate feel valued and supported. Grace was awarded the Coaches Award this year.”

Coach Robinson regarding Charlotte: “Charlotte was an impact player on our team since middle school. She was a hard-working and motivated teammate who dedicated herself to our program for the past five years. She had a strong work ethic and competitive spirit. She was one of the leading scorers for our team since her freshman year. Her commitment and strong work ethic made her an excellent team captain selection this season. Charlotte was a positive role model to her younger teammates.”
