The Boy Athlete of the Month is Sasha Oliinyk. Sasha continued to be a dominant wrestler throughout the month of January. During the month, Sasha won 13 of his 14 matches, with all 13 wins coming via pin. Even after his season was cut short due to an injury, Sasha continued to be a strong leader for his teammates and continued to take responsibility of being a captain seriously.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Marissa Small-Towns. During the month of January, Marissa continued to be the most versatile and valuable female performer on the team. She placed second twice in the mile, as well as the 600, and was unbeaten in the 1,000 in the meets at Phillips Andover. Marissa also ran an integral role in the 4x400 relay. Her work rate in training is outstanding each and every day. Marissa's combination of distance and mid-distance events proves her strength and talent as a runner for this team.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Curtis Cobb. During the month of December, Curtis averaged 24 points/game. He scored a career-high 35 points against St. Thomas More, with Curtis shooting 16 for 22 in the win.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Christina Felchner. Christina had a great December. Her dominance in the sprint events was apparent each time she competed in a race. Christina has been crucial to the overall team effort with her ability to be versatile.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Shacor Privott of Football. Shacor led the Titans to a 2-0 record in November. Shacor rushed for 253 yards on 27 attempts for a 9.4 yard average/carry. He also scored three touchdowns. Defensively, Shacor led the team with 19 tackles and three quarterback hits. The highlight of the month was his major role in an 80-yard touchdown drive against The Gunnery in the closing minutes.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Adriana Russell of Cross Country. Adriana improved throughout the season. She surged the last week of the season and in the New England Championships. She ran one of her best times of the season at the Class B Meet, placing ninth overall to earn a spot at the New England All-Star Meet.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Hobey Bryne of Football. During the month of October, Hobey was an impact player on both offense and defense. In four games he recorded 30 tackles, three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), a sack, a forced fumble and a game-tying touchdown reception in the last minute of a game. Hobey has been one of the most reliable players on the team and a great leader by example.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Megan Pehoviak of Cross Country. Meg experienced a great month as she improved her overall performance time by three minutes. Meg stepped up as the #2 runner for three of the four meets in October, placing in the top 10 three times. She consistently works very hard to put herself in scoring position to help the overall placement of the team. Meg continually shows qualities that have made her a true captain of the team. She is a great example to her teammates each day in practice and in competitions.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Chae Brangman '14 of Boys' Soccer. During the month of September, Chae was pivotal to his team's success. In five games, Chae recorded six goals and one assist. Opposing teams had a very difficult time matching up with him as he posed a constant threat. His tactical awareness and athleticism allow Chae to be one of the most effective players on the field at all times.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Christina Wakefield '14. In September, Christina played key role in her team's overall fortunes. In the first six games of the season, she tallied six goals and four assists as the team went 4-2. Christina is a driving force on the field for the team. Her work ethic, competitiveness and desire to make her teammates better are evident each day in practice and in games. She has had a big impact with the eight freshmen on the team as she has helped their confidence and performance level grow steadily.
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Matt Naumec '15 of Golf. Matt experienced a tremendous month of May on the golf course. He was a combined 3-over par for the 36 holes he played, and was match medalist in three of the four matches against Loomis, Cushing, Choate, Kingswood, Deerfield, Northfield and Worcester. Matt also won the Kingswood Invitational Tournament, topping a field of 115 golfers.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Marissa Small-Towns '14 of track. Marissa had another great month on the track. During meets against Suffield, Hyde, Worcester and Bancroft, Marissa continued to lead the Titans. At the New England Prep Division III Championships, Marissa won the 400, place second in the 800 and ran on the 4x400 relay team, which placed fifth and set a school record.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is John Tierney '15 of Boys' Lacrosse. John experienced a great month, scoring 30 goals and handing out 19 assists in eight games. John's highlights included a 10 goal, five assist game against Vermont Academy, and a six goal, four assist match vs. South Kent.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Alyssa Natario '13 of Softball. Alyssa reached base 17 times in 33 plate appearances, batting .310. Defensively, at second base, has made 19 of 21 plays. Alyssa always demonstrates great post and self-control in practice and games.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Sasha Oliinyk ’14 from Wrestling. During the month of January, Sasha went undefeated in all of his matches against 14 schools. Within this very intense competition with many outstanding wrestlers, Sasha was dominant. Many teams did everything they could to avoid confronting him in his weight class. Sasha has also shown great leadership with his teammates as he leads by example and drives them to be the best that they can be.

The Girl January Athlete of the Month is Ivy Durepo '13 from Swimming. During the month of January, Ivy had many outstanding performances. She was undefeated in all of her races and set a Canterbury pool record in that meet. Ivy has also been the pivotal leg of many of the Titan’s winning relays, including two relays at Westminster that secured a double win over Westminster and Ethel Walker. Ivy came within a half second of breaking a pool record set by Elizabeth Beisel at St. Georges. Beisel is the reigning Olympic silver medalist.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Megan Pehoviak ' 14 of Basketball. Megan regularly played out of position to help the Titans. During the Stoneleigh-Burnham Tournament, Meg was named to the All-Tournament team.
Swimming - Maddy McCloskey '15
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Garfield Ding of Swimming. Garfield was a versatile member of the team in December. He placed first in the 100 breaststoke against Kingswood-Oxford and Portsmouth Abbey. Garfield also posted some of the fastest times in recent years in the 50 and 100 freestyle.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Adolph Kawuba of Boys' Soccer. During November Adolph did it all for the team. His ability to play multiple positions was critical to the team's overall success as the season concluded. Adolph played key roles as a left back, but also managed to contribute game-winning assists against Kingswood Oxford and Avon Old Farms. He also led the team in assists for the season.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Nina Lu of Girls' Volleyball. Nina experienced a great month with the volleyball team as she contributed in many different areas to help the overall team effort. During November Nina achieved a 95% serving rate, had 14 kills and 10 digs. Nina maintained a great work ethic in practices and games.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Marissa Small-Towns '14 of Girls' Cross Country.
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Joe Thibault '13 from Boys’ Cross Country. Joe had a very successful month for the Cross Country team. He came in fifth out of 150 runners at the Canterbury Invitational and third at the Marianapolis Invitational, which led the team to a second place finish out of 11 teams. Joe has been a leader at practice. Joe’s work ethic has been an excellent role model for the younger athletes. D.J. Jean Baptiste (water polo), Shacor Privott (football) and Drew Bemben (soccer) were nominated for their respective sports.
The Girl Athlete of the Month is Christina Wakefield '14 of Girls' Soccer. During the month of September, Christina has been a critical part of the offensive efforts of the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team. Christina scored seven goals in six games. She had multi-goal games against both Kingswood and Westminster, scoring twice in each match. Christina is also a tireless worker on the field. She is relentless in her pursuit of the ball and in applying pressure on the opponents defensively. Bailey Giese (volleyball), Allie Cerpovicz (field hockey) and Marissa Small-Towns (cross country) were also nominated.
2011 - 2012
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Jared Osumah '12. Jared established himself as one of the all-time great track athletes at WMA, winning the long jump and triple jump at the New England Class C Championship Meet. He also placed second in the high jump.
The Girl Athlete of the Month is Richelle Davis '12. Richelle batted .454 in May and provided great leadership to a young softball team. She also announced she would be playing field hockey at St. Anselm's.
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Ben Marcus '12 and Charles Callahan '14. Ben fired a no-hitter for the baseball team in a 7-0 victory over Millbrook, while the play of Charles in goal led the lacrosse team to a 12-6 win over Vermont Academy in its opener.
The Girl Athlete of the Month is Marissa McDermott '12. Marissa's play between the posts helped the lacrosse team to a 6-1-1 record in April.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is: Michaela Fortin, who averaged over 10 points a game during the month of February. She was also a pivotal part of the defensive efforts during each and every game. Michaela scored 12 points in the New England Tournament game against Kimball Union in March, including two 3-pointers.

The Boy Athlete of the Month is Elijah Barrows, earned two top-5 finishes at the Bud Erich Invitational, winning races against several Division 1 schools. Elijah came in second and fourth in the 50 and 100 Freestyle races at the New England Championships. He was also a key contributor to the WMA record-breaking 200 Freestyle Relay.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Madeline McCloskey, who remained undefeated throughout the month of January. She highlighted all of this success with a tremendous victory in the 100-Yard Backstroke during the Westminster meet and a school record for the 200-Yard Freestyle.
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Ryan McLarney, who had a record of 12 wins and 2 losses this month. The highlight of the month came when Ryan defeated a top-ranked wrestler from Worcester Academy in addition to being a very steady performer during all practices and competitions.December

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Ivy Durepo, who was undefeated in three swim meets and set individual school records in the 100 Breast Stroke, 50 and 100 Freestyle, and the 200 Individual Medley. Ivy was also a key member of the record-setting 400 Freestyle Relay team against Kingswood Oxford.
The Boy Athlete of the Month is Jaylen Brantley, who was named the MVP of the Peddie Tournament in New Jersey, where he scored his 1,000th career point. Jaylen was also named a second team All Star at the City of Palms Tournament in Florida where he led the team to a second place finish. In December, Jaylen averaged 23 points, 4 steals, and 5 assists.

The Girl Athlete of the Month is Christina Wakefield who scored 11 goals and contributed 4 assists in 5 games During the month of October. Throughout the month, Christina led our offensive efforts as she sustained continual pressure on opposing defenses. She also earned a hat trick and added 3 assists against Canterbury.
The Boy Athlete-of-the-Month is Ben Marcus, who scored an amazing 31 goals in five games during the month of October. He also tallied his 200th career goal and set a new school record. Ben is a team leader by example, as he continually displays tremendous sportsmanship and consideration towards his opponents. He is the focal point of the Titan offense, but is also careful to ensure that all of his teammates have a quality experience.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for May is Emma Hjarne, who was the team medalist in matches with Williston and Pomfret, as well as at the KIT postseason tournament where she shot 80 and finished in the top 15% of all competitors. Emma also finished in second place in the Pippy O'Connor Tournament of the 30 top female golfers competing.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for May is Jared Osumah, whose efforts in the High Jump and the Long Jump were keys to the team's overall results throughout the month of May. At the New Englands, Jared finished first in the Long Jump, setting a new school record, and fifth in the High Jump. He also competed at New Englands in the 100-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for April is Julia Bell, who had 41 goals and 14 assists in 7 games during the month of April. Julia is a steady presence as a team leader, midfield connector, playmaker, feeder, and scorer for the Girls' Varsity team.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for April is Kanta Sugai, who scored an amazing 11 tries in 6 matches In April. During this stretch, his team won 4 contests and lost 2. His athleticism and individual accomplishments on the field were critical to the overall success of the team.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for February is Elizabeth Hodson, who placed 9th out of 55 girls at the New England Championships.
Libby consistently went up against the top skiiers on the opposing teams throughout the season and realized her goal of breaking into the top 10 at the NEPSAC championships.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for February is Joseph Thibault, who he finished the regular season with a record of 26 wins and 1 loss.
He also placed 2nd at the Class A Championships. Joe then went on to represent the Academy with great distinction at both the New England and the National Championships.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for January is Mia Konstantakos, who had multiple outstanding performances is January. She was a double winner against Westminster as she came in first in the 100 Free and the 100 Backstroke. Mia was also victorious against Cheshire, winning the 100 Free. She has also been a strong leader for the entire team throughout the season.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for January is Jaylen Brantley, who led the team to wins over Brimmer and May, suffield, and Loomis-Chaffee in January. During this outstanding stretch for his team, Jaylen averaged 21 points and 5 assists per game.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for November is Rachael Kantor, who had a tremendously successful month of play. She continued to be the main anchor for all defensive efforts. During November, the team went 4-2-0, allowing only 6 goals in as many games. Rachael's leadership in the back was critical to sustaining strong efforts against top Class A and B opponents, as well as to helping the development of younger defenders and goalkeepers.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for November is Joseph Thibault. Joe had a great month for the Cross Country team. He finished 6th at the quad meet with Worcester, Pomfret, and Cushing. Joe also did very well at the New England Championships where he earned 17th place overall.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for May is Carly Cronin, who scored 16 goals and was the catalyst for the Girls' Lacrosse Team, which had a 2-2 May record.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for April is Brian Fracasso , who had a .555 batting average, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 7 RBI in leading the Baseball Titans to a 4-4 end-of-season record.

The Girl Athlete of the Month for April is Michaela Rollings, who is playing #1 singles for the 5th consecutive year. She is 3-0 in April and the dominant player in the league.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for April is Adam Ginsberg , who is a major contributor in every phase of the game with 5 goals, 7 assists, and a dominating 77 % winning percentage on face-offs in leading Boys' Varsity Lacrosse to a 4-6 April record.

The Girl Athlete of theMonth for February is Stephanie Robbins, who placed 3rd in the last slalom race at Eaglebrook, 4th in slalom and 10th in GS in the New England Championships. She is a constant role model on and off the mountain for less experienced skiers.
The Boy Athlete of the Month for February is Philip Spottswood, who averaged 16 points and 7 assists for the 5-1 Titans during the month.
