Beech Tree Day Camp

Beech Tree is proud to be the summer choice for local families!

Did you know?

Trees are powerful symbols and often associated with knowledge and learning. The Beech Tree has strong branches with distinctive smooth, gray bark that are exposed after its colorful leaves shed each fall. Beech Tree is excellent firewood as it burns for many hours with bright but calm flames.

Beech Tree philosophy

Our mission and philosophy embodies a characteristic of the Beech Tree -- strong "roots." We work to build campers' self-esteem, interpersonal skills and instill the joy of learning through working and playing together. These strengths can carry forward in a positive way from childhood to adulthood.

Daily schedule and activities

New in 2014: Beech Tree will provide Red Cross swim lessons for one period during the morning.

Beech Tree 2014 will balance the old favorite activities (tie dye, arts & crafts, game of the day) with some new additions (swim lessons, golf, lacrosse, wellness activities, nature walks and discovery science). Campers will eat lunch in the air-conditioned Lak Dining Hall. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. Non-sport activities will be held in air-conditioned rooms in the Middle School. In case of inclement weather, campers will use the gym, indoor pool, dance room and student campus center for activities.

Our active programming is carefully designed to support, as well as challenge campers. Fun, creativity and thoughtful expression underlie all our activities and coaching techniques. In general, campers are grouped by age/grade for activities and sports. Sports include soccer, basketball, tennis, kick ball, swim lessons, recreational swimming, baseball/softball, fitness, ping-pong and golf.
