Dress Code

The dress code at WMA serves its students and faculty well. It demonstrates the Academy’s high standards to the community, and it represents the serious academic environment we wish to nurture. The dress code also teaches valuable life lessons such as self-discipline and the importance of attention to detail.

Students are expected to be in dress code at all times during the academic day, whether or not they are in classes. The academic day, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday lasts from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM, or the conclusion of an individual student’s classes, whichever comes last.

Additionally, students are expected to be appropriately dressed and groomed for every occasion while on campus or while representing Wilbraham & Monson Academy off campus. Generally, students exercise good taste and judgment with regard to their appearance. In case of a difference of opinion, however, the faculty and staff are the final arbiters of what does and does not constitute appropriate dress.Dress code specifics can be found in the Student/Parent Handbook.

Shopping Option

The WMA Deans Office has partnered with Lands' End to provide an exciting Dress Code shopping option. You may shop the WMA portal of the Lands' End website for clothes that have been pre-approved as acceptable within the definition of our dress code. This is not a requirement or a uniform. Our dress code remains unchanged. This is just a simple alternative to looking through fashion stores for clothing that satisfies our high expectations for student attire.

Lands' End clothing has a long tradition of providing exceptionally well-made, high-quality clothing. Their customer service is second to none, and they have an unconditional guarantee.

Please follow the link for more information, and use this optional service if you wish for convenience and with confidence. Other options for ordering are outlined in this helpful Lands' End reference sheet.
