A Commitment to Excellence

The Girls' Soccer program has a long history of success and has enjoyed a winning season each year since 1997. We belong to the Women's Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WWNEPSSA). We compete in the Class B division of that 48 team league. However, we play one third of our games against teams from the Class A division. We are also members of the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC), and we have qualified for the New England Tournament each year since 1997. This postseason tournament includes teams from all six New England states.

Our commitment to excellence was certainly apparent during the 2010 season as the team finished the regular season ranked #1 out of the forty-eight teams and were named WWNEPSSA League Champions. At the same time, the team earned the WWNEPSSA Class B title.

The Girls' Soccer program uses the ideals of the Trustees Cup, which they won in 2008, as their model each season. The Trustees Cup is awarded annually to the Academy team best achieving the ideals of interscholastic athletics: a winning record, academic achievement, sportsmanship, team spirit, and leadership off the field.

Fall of 2014

The Girls' Varsity Soccer team should be very proud of all that it have accomplished this season. Finishing with an overall record of 14-3-2, the girls secured the Women's Western New England Soccer Association Class B Championship and were finalists in the New England Class B Championship Tournament.

Highlights this season included an undefeated record in our division, including victories over top rivals Williston and Suffield. Other standout moments were key wins over eastern New England opponents Tabor and Worcester. The late season win over Class A Greenwich Academy was also a highlight.

The Titans scored 56 goals over the course of the season and only gave up 23 goals to our opponents. The girls should also be very proud of the great team spirit, loyalty to each other and comradery they showed on and off the field. This squad will certainly be known as one of the greatest teams in the history of the WMA Girls' Varsity Soccer program.

Fall of 2013

The 2013 team experienced a successful season, finishing with a final record of 9-6-2. Victories over Westminster, Deerfield, Pomfret, Berkshire and Suffield were certainly highlights. Although the Titans saw their season end in the quarterfinals of the New England Prep School Championship Soccer Class B Tournament, the girls should be very proud of their accomplishments.

Special thanks to our senior captain Christina Wakefield for her leadership throughout the course of the s
