Special Upper School Schedule

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, faculty will be in a meeting during the school day, therefore, there is a special schedule for each Upper School grade level.
Seniors College Counseling Day (independently prepare applications and essays for early admissions/visit local schools)
Juniors PSAT (Athletic Center)
Sophomores PSAT (Athletic Center)
Freshmen Special speaker - Duane de Four (Founders Theater - 10 a.m. - noon)
Mr. de Four's presentation will be an engaging and lively discussion of gender roles, examining what we're taught about gender and the effect restrictive gender roles may have on our lives. We will also examine some depictions of masculinity and femininity in mass media and consider the ways media reinforces these restrictive gender roles.
Duane de Four, M.A. is an educator, media critic and activist specializing in gender violence prevention, bystander intervention, and sexual health education. In twenty years as an educator, Duane has delivered hundreds of trainings at organizations ranging from youth detention centers to high schools, colleges and universities, the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and NASCAR and all branches of the U.S. military. Duane holds a Bachelor of Science in Women’s Studies from the University of Utah and a Master of Arts in Marketing Communications from Emerson College and he currently works as a Project Manager for MIT’s Program for Violence Prevention and Response (VPR).
Middle School Students in Grades 6-8 will attend classes as usual.
Athletics The usual athletic commitments are in effect.
