All-School Summer Reading 2026

Titans Read 2026
Happy summer Titans! The Athenaeum is running another summer reading challenge this year and we can’t wait to see what you read!
This year’s summer reading challenge will take place on Beanstack. Just like last year there is a bingo card to complete but instead of having to keep track of a paper copy, this year it is entirely digital!
You can log into Beanstack here - https://wilbrahammonson.beanstack.com/ by using your WMA email address through the log in with google button. If you are having trouble accessing your account please email Ms. Pratt at epratt@wma.us.
As a bonus your reading will earn you rewards upon your return to school! Our first week back at school you can turn in your raffle tickets to enter to win a multitude of prizes!
How can I earn Tickets?
The easiest way to earn tickets is to complete five squares in a row on our summer bingo card. A row can be vertical, horizontal, or diagonal.
Remember you can only use a book title once - it can’t be used to earn multiple squares!
Some of the squares on the bingo card come with extra tickets. These activities require a bit more engagement with your books than just lounging by the pool reading. Check out all of the challenges on Beanstack and plan your reading strategy to earn as many tickets as possible.
What can I win with my tickets?
The first week back to school you can come see Ms. Pratt to collect your raffle tickets. Then you can enter them to win a multitude of prizes! Some prizes we had last year were:
- Starbucks Gift Card
- Sweet Boutique Treat Box
- Rice’s Gift Cards
- WMA T-shirt
- Casual Dress Code Days
- Chick-fil-a Gift Card
- A day of being driven around campus in the golf cart
- Spa Gift Cards
- Chocolate chip cookies from the Sugar Chalet
- One-time use honor night
This year’s prizes will be just as excellent!
Sounds great but what should I read?
We’re so glad you asked! Find some recommendations for books you can read below! You can find these for free at your local library or buy them from your favorite bookstore. Many of them can also be found on Sora as ebooks or audio books. (Audio books totally count as reading, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.)
And, if none of these books strike your fancy, fill out our book recommendation form to get some recommendations tailored to your specific tastes!
Middle School Summer Reading Suggestions
Over the summer, the goal is to read at least ONE book to participate in the Athenaeum's "Summer Reading 2026: Titans Read." Ms. Pratt has compiled a comprehensive list of suggestions that can be found here, along with a description of the challenge, the link to Beanstack and access to your BINGO card.
If anyone prefers to read in a book club, motivated by fellow readers and over sweet treats at the Sugar Chalet and the Village Store, Mrs. Cavanaugh is working on campus through the summer and plans to read "Follow the Water," "Hail Mary," "Alone" and "My Life with the Walter Boys." (She can also be persuaded to read any of Mrs. Pratt's other MS selections.)
With enough interested readers, she will plan two book club meetings (discussing one book) in July, during the second and last weeks of the month.
Please share your interest by June 1 via email: mcavanaugh@wma.us.
