Over the past few years, WMA’s endowment has grown from $11.3M to $12.1M.
The independent school average across Massachusetts is $103M.
What does the Endowment do?
Each year, roughly 5% of our endowment’s value is drawn into our operating budget. The bigger our endowment, the bigger that 5% gets. More support from our endowment can mean:
- more financial aid for families
- new and innovative academic courses
- broader athletic opportunities
- improved arts spaces and programs
- upgraded dorm rooms and common spaces
- and more!
$12M in endowment equals $600,000 in yearly budget support.
$50M in endowment would equal $2.5 MILLION in yearly budget support.
